   5 - Put the file ".Xmodmap" into the user's home directory (~).
   6 - On some Linux distributions (or installations), "~/.Xmodmap" should automatically load when logging in, in some other cases, it can be activated via&nbsp;:
   7 xmodmap ~/.Xmodmap&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;- or -&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;xmodmap $HOME/.Xmodmap
   8 - *Note that Xmodmap is deprecated, and is no longer supported on GNOME.*
